In May 2025 the customer contacted Ben Garage Doors LLC after their garage door opener suddenly stopped responding. Situations like this are exactly what our garage door opener replacement service is designed to handle. The project took place in North Stamford, where the existing unit was an older LiftMaster model installed back in 2006. After nearly twenty years of service, the opener was no longer reliable or safe. Our team reviewed several upgrade options with the customer, and they chose to replace the old system with the LiftMaster 84505R, one of the most advanced belt-drive models available today.
The LiftMaster 84505R offers an ultra-quiet DC motor, integrated HD camera, bright LED lighting, WiFi connectivity, MyQ smart control, and enhanced Security+ 2.0 technology. It provides noticeably smoother and quieter operation compared to older chain-drive units, making it a significant upgrade in both performance and convenience.
During the installation, our team replaced the entire operating system, including the new motor, rail assembly, safety sensors, wall control panel, wiring, and all required adjustments. We also performed a full door balance check and set up the MyQ app on the customer’s phone for remote access and monitoring. The job took about two hours, and the customer now has a modern, quiet, and highly reliable opener designed for long-term performance.
