In August 2025 our team at Ben Garage Doors LLC completed a full new-construction garage door installation project for a homeowner in Greenwich, CT. The customer had recently renovated and rebuilt the entire house and required brand-new garage doors and openers to match the upgraded design and modern structure.
For this project we installed insulated steel doors from the Haas Doors 600 Series, a popular choice for homeowners looking for a clean, modern appearance with reliable durability. The 600 Series features a high-quality steel exterior, energy-efficient insulation, and a smooth, low-maintenance finish — making it an excellent option for new construction homes. To complete the system, we paired the doors with LiftMaster 84505R belt-drive openers, known for their ultra-quiet operation, integrated LED lighting, full WiFi connectivity, MyQ smart control, and enhanced Security+ 2.0 features.
Since this was a brand-new build, our team handled the entire installation from the ground up:
all framing preparation, tracks, brackets, torsion system setup, safety sensors, wiring, reinforcement, and final alignment of the doors and motors. Everything was installed from scratch to ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability.
Projects of this type typically require two phases:
custom door ordering (which can take up to one month),
followed by a full installation day of approximately 6–8 hours on site.
