In August 2025 our team at Ben Garage Doors LLC completed a full garage door replacement project for a customer in Darien, CT. The customer wanted to upgrade their old, outdated garage doors and improve both the look and functionality of their home. After reviewing several options together, they chose new insulated steel doors from the Haas Doors 9000 Series – a high-quality, durable line known for its excellent energy efficiency and long-term reliability.
This project is a great example of the professional garage door installation work we provide as part of our residential services throughout Fairfield County.
For this installation, we replaced the entire door system, including all hardware components: new tracks, torsion springs, brackets, rollers, exterior trim, and all necessary reinforcements. The doors were rebalanced and properly aligned to ensure smooth and safe operation. Since the customer had replaced their garage door openers only two years earlier, we reconnected the new doors to the existing motors and performed a full compatibility and safety check.
A project like this is completed in two phases:
ordering the custom doors (which typically takes up to one month),
followed by the installation itself – a full workday of approximately 5 to 8 hours.
